Chianti & Venezia

Venice, Italy
This historic city was one I fell in love with. From the moment you step out of the train station you see it- the canals, the boats, the gondolas, and the insane number of wide-eyed tourist. But what I will remember most is the beautiful light and rich colors. Every alley was its own work of art, with rich burnt siennas, raw umbers, and yellow ochre. It was as if I was walking through a painting.

Chianti, Italy
About an hour outside of Florence are the mountains in the Chianti region of Tuscany. Know for its wine, I was there because in all honesty because Dr. Hannibal Lecter talked about the wine in one of the creepiest movie scenes of all time in “Silence of the Lambs”. Pop culture aside, the region lived up to its reputation as a rich area with all the wine you could ever want.
